Kamal Uddin khan was born on 27 october 1954 in a small vilage Bhadeya(Gaya).His father Janab Salah Uddin Khan was a Goverment Teacher and his grandfather Janab Abdul Aziz Khan(L.L.B) was first Graduate in entire block of Barachatti and Mohanpur.In his school year he had average grades but was described as a disciplied and hardworking student.After passing board with First division he got admission in one of the most renowed institution of india,Aligarh Muslim University(A.M.U).During his collage life he was very active in extra curricular activities and student politics.He got so many awards in indoor games, debates and drama
He was very active in Bihar politics since 1990.He represented as the General Secretary of RJD in Barachatti Block in 1992. During partition of Jharkhand from Bihar, he led the mass protest for the coalition of Barachatti in Jharkhand. He was the representative of Education Minister of Bihar from 1997 to 2000. In 2002, he was elected as member of District Council ( Zila Parishad) and then in 2007 his wife Rafat Jahan contested the election of Zila parshad who also won.
